Aquila Catamaran to Appear At Cannes Yachting Festival

The all-new Aquila 44, four-stateroom option, is set to be presented at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival, September 11-16, 2018.On the Aquila 44, features a 360˚ view from the spacious salon and galley that includes a large seating area, hidden TV stowage and plenty of storage to make a live-aboard or cruising easy and pleasant. Galley features include Corian countertops, electric fridge and freezer, stove, and stainless-steel microwave oven as well as a double stainless-steel sink. The large staterooms each offer ample headroom and large windows for excellent views.

Heesen Delivers Omaha

Yacht builder Heesen announced the delivery of the first yacht in its new 50 meter Steel Class, Omaha.YN 18350, christened Omaha, has been delivered to her owners following intensive sea trials in the North Sea in favorable weather conditions, with seas ranging from calm to moderate.Omaha exceeded the contractual speed, reaching 16 knots, and proved to be extremely maneuverable in all conditions thanks to her large rudders in combination with the power steering unit. Powered by two MTU 8V4000 M63 engines, she has a range of 3,800 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Right in front of the Tower Bridge two brand new Mega Yachts have positioned themselves for an Abeking & Rasmussen Rendezvous. Bering 65 Serge's Record Non-Refueling Cruise

Bering 65 Serge launched in 2015, this year made a record non-refueling crossing of 4,200 nautical miles from Thailand to Vladivostok in 27 days.All the way the vessel towed a 9 meter Hysucat sea boat with a displacement of 3,500 liters including a fuel reserve. The total fuel consumption was 12 300 liters burning 2.9 liters per mile and passing 155 miles per day at a speed of 6.5 knots.The Bering 65 is a rugged and classical looking steel yacht capable of any ocean crossing. SMS Completes HSC Refit in Cherbourg

SMS, a ship repair and marine engineering service company based in Southampton, has completed its first major high speed craft (HSC) refit in France. Last week, SMS docked the HSC Condor Rapide on the Port Normands Associe’s (PNA) ship lift at the Port of Cherbourg in France.The Rolls-Royce syncrolift is 90m x 32m and offers a 3000T lift capacity. Oceanco's Jubilee Honored

Oceanco’s 110 meter motoryacht Jubilee has won the 2018 International Yacht and Aviation Award for the Best Power Yacht Design in the over 80 meter category.With exterior styling by Lobanov Design and interior by Sorgiovanni Design, Jubilee is the largest yacht ever built by Oceanco, and was also the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands at the time of her launch. The awards ceremony took place on May 19th in Venice. Meet the Fathom 40 & 43

Contemporary composite cruisers are designed so similarly that finding your boat in a crowded marina can be a challenge. Such will not be a problem for owners of the latest incarnation of the well-regarded Fathom 40 and 43. Long time builder Roy Parkinson of Park Isle Marine Ltd. in Sooke BC bought the 20 molds required to build the boat from a US owner in 2017. Reliant Yachts of Newport, R.I. has announced a new build under contract for a 40’ tender utilizing the X series platform. The owner, who already owns a motoryacht built by the Group, again chooses Palumbo Superyachts to give life to his new project. Royal Huisman Turns Its Largest Hull Ever

Another milestone at Royal Huisman: the hull of the three-masted schooner under construction since June 2017, has been turned at the shipyard’s facilities in Vollenhove, Holland. With an impressive overall length of 81m / 266ft and a sturdy plumb bow – making her not only powerful but recognizable all over the world – Project 400 is the largest yacht built by Royal Huisman to date, and will be ranked in the top 10 of the world’s largest sailing yachts. Upon her delivery in 2020 this contemporary schooner will be the world’s largest aluminium sailing yacht.

Burger Boat Heads to Palm Beach International Boat Show

Burger’s team will be available at the Palm Beach International Boat Show  March 22-25 to discuss construction, plans for the future and opportunities for new yacht owners to explore a relationship with one of America’s oldest yacht builders. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises to name HANSEATIC inspiration

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will hold the naming ceremony for its second expedition ship, the HANSEATIC inspiration on October 13, 2019 against the backdrop of the Belgian port city of Antwerp. It will be the first time in the city’s history that an ocean-going cruise ship has been christened in Antwerp. The announcement was made at lunchtime today by the CEO of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, Karl J. Pojer, who spoke to invited representatives of the press and the Deputy Mayor of Antwerp, Koen Kennis.

Heesen Sells Biggest Yacht to Date

Heesen has sold YN 19480 - Project Cosmos – an 80.07-meter all-aluminium FDHF motor yacht for delivery in April 2022. Beijer Electronics has rolled out its new X2 extreme family of rugged HMIs for tough environments. X2 extreme panels are certified by all major classification societies. Heesen Delivers VanTom

VanTom, the sixth yacht in the popular 50 meter semi-displacement class designed by Frank Laupman at Omega Architects has been delivered. The delivery took place in international waters on February 14, 2018 after intensive tests in the rough winter waves of the North Sea. The sea trials took place on January 12 and 29 in Beaufort 4 and 6, with North Westerly winds and waves up to one meter. Chris-Craft Will Launch a New Design at the Miami Boat Show

Chris-Craft has announced the world premiere of the Launch 28 GT at a press conference at the 2018 Miami International Boat Show. The Launch 28 GT is a new hull and an entirely new design for Chris-Craft. The new Launch 28 GT has a walk-through transom and reversible sun pad that moves forward and backward for lounging, or additional seating while underway. Available with the option of sterndrive or outboard, the customizability is endless. From metallic paints and cross-stitched upholstery, the Launch 28 GT will also showcase a new upholstery pattern from Chris-Craft throughout the cockpit.

Dutch luxury yacht builder Amels has announced the sale of a new 55-metre Amels 180 (180 ft) from the Amels Limited Editions range. The superyacht – with an extended 28-metre long Sun Deck, six luxury suites and three folding balconies – will be delivered in summer 2018. New Grand Banks Motor Yacht Completes Sea Trials

Caterpillar Marine has announced the successful sea trial of the Grand Banks Yachts, Ltd. GB60-03 which is powered by a pair of Cat C12.9 supercharged and turbocharged diesel engines. GB60-03 has a length of 65' (19.9m), a beam of 19' (5.85m) and a draft of 4' (1.4m). During the successful sea trial, GB60-03 achieved a top speed of 33 knots. The common rail C12.9’s installed in GB60-03 are capable of delivering 1000mhp@2300rpm while meeting EPA Tier 3, IMO II, EU Stage IIIA and RCD emission requirements.
